The York Motor Museum displays over 60 cars, 16 motorcycles, and numerous other vehicles across three dedicated galleries totaling 1,100 square meters of exhibition space.
The museum opened on December 8, 1979, in a Federation Free Classical building constructed by the Windsor family in 1908, which previously served as shops and commercial premises.
Peter Briggs and James Harwood established this institution in the 1960s through their motor sports involvement, creating a center for automotive heritage preservation.
The museum operates daily from 9 AM to 4 PM with admission fees of $12 for adults, $10 for concessions, and $3 for children under 12 years old.
The museum houses Daniel Ricciardo's Red Bull Formula One RB10 and the rare 1978 Ford Falcon 302 Cobra Coupe known for its Bathurst race victory.
