Museum Perjuangan Bogor

Museum Perjuangan Bogor is a history museum housed in a former warehouse building that displays photographs, documents, weapons, and currency from Indonesia's independence era. The rooms contain dioramas showing regional conflicts and objects that give you a sense of what people experienced during this period.

The building was constructed in 1879 as an agricultural warehouse and later served as a storage facility for the Japanese military during their occupation. It became a museum in 1958 after independence, transforming it into a place to document the nation's struggle for freedom.

The displays show scenes of regional battles and weapons that tell the story of how Indonesians fought for their independence. Walking through the rooms, you see objects that people used and valued during this crucial time in their nation's history.

The museum is located near Bogor Station on Merdeka Street and is open daily for visitors to explore at their own pace. Plan to spend a couple of hours walking through the rooms and examining the historical objects on display.

Many visitors overlook the fact that some of the weapons and ammunition on display were captured from British and Japanese forces during the conflict. These objects show directly which foreign armies were involved in Indonesia's struggle.
