Kujang Monument

Kujang Monument is a 25-meter white obelisk located at the Pajajaran and Otto Iskandardinata intersection, topped with a traditional Sundanese weapon design. The Bogor city coat of arms is displayed prominently in the center of the structure.

Construction began in May 1982 under Mayor Achmad Sobana's administration and required specialized equipment to install the top ornament. The project marked an important moment in creating a significant local landmark for the city.

The monument honors the Kujang, a traditional weapon deeply rooted in Sundanese culture and identity. Today visitors see it as a gathering point where the community connects with its local heritage.

The monument is easy to find near Bogor Botanical Garden and Botani Square shopping center. The surrounding area was renovated in 2022 with pedestrian walkways and bicycle paths for comfortable circulation.

The central area surrounding the monument was redesigned in 2022 into an 8,500-square-meter space that invites people to linger and gather. This transformation changed the location from a simple traffic intersection into a genuine community gathering space.
