Pura Parahyangan Agung Jagatkarta, Balinese temple on Mount Salak slopes in Ciapus, Indonesia.

Pura Parahyangan Agung Jagatkarta is a Balinese temple located on the northern slopes of Mount Salak at approximately 780 meters elevation. The sanctuary is organized across three ascending courtyards, with each level positioned higher than the one before it.

The temple stands at a location connected to the ancient Padang Pajajaran kingdom that once held significant influence in the region. This royal connection shaped the spiritual character of the site through successive generations.

The temple serves as a sacred gathering place for Hindu devotees from the Jakarta region who participate in ceremonies that honor spiritual traditions. The buildings and statues here reflect how Balinese and Sundanese traditions have come together over time.

Visitors must park their vehicles in designated areas at the base and then climb steep stairs to reach the temple. Wearing traditional sarongs and sashes is required when entering the sanctuary.

The sanctuary features a striking black and white tiger statue that represents an important historical ruler and shows the rare blend of Balinese and Sundanese heritage. This sculpture stands as evidence of how different religious and cultural traditions converge at this location.
