Built in 1991 and inaugurated in 1995 by West Java Governor Raden Nana Nuriana, the monument stands as a testament to regional independence struggles.
Seven permanent dioramas within the monument depict key events in West Java's history, including the Sultan Agung Tirtayasa resistance against Dutch colonialism.
Located at Dipati Ukur Street 48, the monument opens Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM and weekends until 1:30 PM.
The monument's architecture combines the shape of sharpened bamboo spears with modern design elements across its 72,040 square meter grounds.
