Sewu, Buddhist temple in Central Java, Indonesia
Sewu is the second largest Buddhist temple in Indonesia after Borobudur.
Built in the 8th century during the reign of the Mataram Kingdom.
The temple complex reflects a blend of Hindu and Buddhist architectural styles.
Located near Prambanan, it's easily accessible for tourists visiting Yogyakarta.
Despite its name meaning 'a thousand temples', there are actually 249 structures in the complex.
