Kota Kefamenanu is an administrative district in West Timor comprised of nine sub-districts spread across the landscape. The area contains residential neighborhoods, markets, and commercial zones that form the working center of the region.
The area was formally established as an independent administrative district in 2022. This restructuring reorganized the previous administrative divisions within the region.
The University of Timor in Kefamenanu stands as one of only two public universities in Indonesian Timor, serving as an educational center for the region.
