Rosedale Beach, Sand beach in New South Wales, Australia

Rosedale Beach is a sand beach on the coast of New South Wales, Australia, made up of two sections called Rosedale North and Rosedale South, separated by Saltwater Creek. The creek sometimes fills with water to form a small lake between the two stretches of sand.

The land around Rosedale Beach was cleared by farming families in the 1800s, including the family of James Sebbens who raised dairy cows and made cheese. During World War 2, the military used the coastal area for radar stations, and a concrete bunker from that time still stands nearby.

The beach has no lifeguards, so swimmers should be careful of rips and avoid going too far out. There are no shops nearby, so visitors should bring water, food, and sun protection; the nearest places to buy supplies are Malua Bay and Tomakin.

The waters around the beach fall within Batemans Marine Park, a protected zone for sea life. At nearby Burrewarra Point, there is a sanctuary zone where all fishing is banned because rare grey nurse sharks come there to breed.
