Te Kaha

Te Kaha is a modern multi-purpose stadium in Christchurch with a covered roof and around 30,000 seats, many of which are permanent while others can be added flexibly. The venue accommodates sports events, concerts, and large gatherings with continuous concourses and multiple service areas.

The stadium began construction in April 2022 as part of Christchurch's central recovery plan following the 2011 earthquake that damaged the city's infrastructure. Building the facility was a response to restoring the city's sports infrastructure and cultural role.

The venue reflects Canterbury's food traditions through outlets featuring local producers and regional specialties. Visitors can experience local flavors and eating habits of the area during their visit.

The stadium sits between Madras, Barbadoes, Hereford, and Tuam streets and is accessible from various points in the city center. The continuous-concourse design makes it easy to navigate to seating areas and facilities.
