St. Peter's Cathedral, Hamilton, Anglican cathedral on Cathedral Hill in Hamilton, New Zealand
The St. Peter's Cathedral stands upon a small elevation called Cathedral Hill, featuring a ferro-concrete construction with eight bells in its tower.
Construction of the current St. Peter's Cathedral began in 1916, making it the fourth Anglican church on this location after previous structures from 1867.
The cathedral maintains a mixed-voice choir of 24 singers and serves as the central place of worship for the Anglican Diocese of Waikato.
Visitors can attend the Diocesan Daily Devotions from Monday through Friday at 9 am, with sermon recordings available for remote access.
The cathedral's architectural design draws direct inspiration from a 15th-century Norfolk church in England, with bells cast by London's Whitechapel foundry.
