Rainbow's End

Rainbow's End is an amusement park in the southern part of Auckland with over 20 rides and attractions spread across 3 hectares. The facility covers several zones with carousels for younger visitors, fast roller coasters, and water slides for different age groups.

The park opened in 1982 with a handful of water-based attractions and expanded gradually by adding larger rides. Over the following decades, roller coasters and new themed areas arrived, making it the largest of its kind in New Zealand.

Families from across New Zealand visit to mark birthdays or school achievements with shared rides and laughter. Locals often return with their own children, passing on memories formed during their early years at the park.

The site opens from Friday through Monday, with longer hours on weekends and during school breaks. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes and arrive early to avoid longer wait times at popular rides.

The Big Five collection groups five rides with vertical drops, tight spirals, and sudden speed bursts. Visitors who complete all five in one session receive a certificate recognizing their courage.
