Ghin-Doo-Ee National Park

Ghin-Doo-Ee National Park is a nature reserve in Mid-Coast Council covering roughly 4,800 hectares with wetlands and bushland habitats. The terrain features diverse ecosystems across an average elevation of 250 meters (820 feet).

The park was officially designated as a national park by the New South Wales government in January 1999. This declaration marked the beginning of formal protection for the area's natural resources.

The name comes from the Gadjang language and refers to the brushturkey, an animal rooted in the indigenous heritage of the area. This linguistic connection reflects the bond between the land and its original people.
