Jondaryan Homestead, Historic pastoral homestead and woolshed in Toowoomba Region, Australia
The Jondaryan site spans multiple buildings, including staff quarters, butcher shop, stables, dairy, and a large woolshed constructed in the 1860s.
The station began in 1840 as a pastoral claim by Henry Dennis, later expanding from 13,000 to 300,000 acres under different ownership through the 19th century.
The woolshed became central to Australian labor movements, serving as a key location during the Queensland Shearers Union formation in the 1890s.
Visitors access organized tours, educational programs, and seasonal events that demonstrate traditional sheep shearing techniques and wool processing methods.
The original kitchen from 1844 remains intact, offering a direct connection to the earliest European agricultural settlement in the Darling Downs region.
