Mapleton Falls National Park

Water falls 120 meters from the Mapleton Falls lookout into a deep gorge surrounded by dense eucalyptus forest and subtropical vegetation.

The Queensland government designated this area as a protected national park in 1973, with additional land added in 2001 for conservation purposes.

The Blackall Range region holds strong connections to Indigenous communities who maintained traditional practices in the surrounding forest landscapes.

The park features marked walking trails leading to observation platforms, information panels, and designated picnic spots near the parking area.

The park contains a population of peregrine falcons that nest in the cliff faces near the waterfall, using the vertical rock formations.
