Deepwater National Park

Deepwater National Park extends along the Queensland coast with sandy beaches, freshwater creeks, and eucalypt woodlands supporting numerous native species.

The Queensland Department of National Parks established this protected area in 2001 to preserve coastal habitats and ensure wildlife conservation.

The park represents a significant ecological site where visitors can observe traditional Australian wildlife including wallabies, emus, and various coastal birds.

Access to the park requires a four-wheel drive vehicle, and camping facilities are available at Wreck Rock and Middle Rock locations.

Wreck Rock Beach within the park functions as the second largest mainland nesting site for loggerhead turtles in Australia.
