A.H. Beach House

The A.H. Beach House is a single-family home built in 1896 with characteristic Queen Anne style features including wooden details, multiple gables, and fish scale shingles. The structure located on South Juniper Street demonstrates typical design elements from that architectural period in the 1890s.

The house was built in 1896 and passed through several owners including businessman Henry W. Putnam. Its listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993 secured its preservation for future generations.

The house shows how affluent families lived in Southern California during the late 1800s and what architectural choices they valued. The elaborate design with bay windows and ornamental details was a sign of wealth and taste during that era.
