Salitre Magico

Salitre Mágico is an amusement park in western Bogotá that spreads across a large site with dozens of rides for children and adults. The grounds are divided into several zones, including roller coasters, carousels, and water attractions, all connected by wide pathways and small plazas.

The site opened in 1973 under a different name and served for decades as a public leisure facility in Bogotá. It closed in the late nineties for a complete rebuild, reopening in 2000 with new equipment and layout.

Salitre Mágico represents a central entertainment destination in Bogotá where local families gather during weekends to participate in Colombian leisure activities.

The grounds open daily and offer a large parking lot plus access to lockers and restrooms near the main pathways. Weekends bring longer queues at popular rides, so an early morning visit helps avoid the rush.

A tall observation wheel offers open views over the city rooftops toward the eastern mountains. Many visitors use the ride to take photos of the skyline, especially on clear days.
