Catedral San Juan Bautista de la Estrada

Catedral San Juan Bautista de la Estrada is a church with a rectangular floor plan featuring white marble surfaces throughout the interior. The building accommodates around 800 seated visitors and 400 standing in its modern, minimalist design.

Originally built as a parish church, the building was elevated to cathedral status in 2003 when Pope John Paul II established the new Diocese of Engativá. This ecclesiastical change marked an important moment in the area's religious development.
