The Basilica of Our Lady of Lourdes features pointed arches, ribbed vaults, and flying buttresses extending across three interior naves with a hexagonal apse.
Construction of this religious landmark started in 1875 under architect Julián Lombana and reached completion in 1904, replacing an earlier straw-roofed chapel.
The basilica holds regular Catholic services, hosts community gatherings, and maintains its status as the second largest religious building in Bogotá.
Located at Carrera 13 N.º 63-27, the basilica stands in front of Chapinero Plaza and connects to major public transportation routes.
German artist Walter Wolf Wasserhouen created the polychrome stained glass windows that illuminate the interior spaces of this religious edifice.
