The Marine Exhibition Center features two nature trails through tropical dry forest and multiple exhibits displaying marine organisms from Panamanian waters.
The Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute established this educational facility in 1996 as part of their commitment to marine research in Panama.
The center connects visitors with Panama's marine heritage through interactive exhibits featuring sea turtles, starfish, and native fish species.
The center operates Tuesday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, weekends from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with entrance fees of $2 for adults.
Visitors can observe the Pacific entrance of the Panama Canal from the center's observation terrace while learning about local marine ecosystems.
