Torre BBVA Mexico, Office tower in Cuauhtémoc, Mexico
The 235-meter-high BBVA Tower features vertical gardens every three floors and contains 50 levels of office space along Paseo de la Reforma boulevard.
Construction of the BBVA Tower started in 2010, with completion in 2015 and an official inauguration ceremony taking place on February 9, 2016.
The architectural design by Legorreta and Rogers Stirk Harbour combines Mexican traditional elements with modern sustainable features throughout the building structure.
The building houses 4,500 employees and includes parking facilities for 3,500 vehicles, with six underground levels and thirty-one elevators for vertical transportation.
The structure incorporates six mega-columns and inverted V-shaped macro-frames that distribute weight and absorb seismic energy, making it among Mexico's safest buildings.
