Teziutlán is a municipality in northeastern Puebla, Mexico, that brings together urban centers and rural settlements across mountainous terrain. The area extends through the Sierra Madre Oriental with forests, valleys and hills shaping the relief.
The area developed economically during the Porfiriato when the railway connected the territory with other regions of Mexico. This link transformed trade and production across the municipality and still shapes infrastructure today.
The name derives from the Nahuatl term meaning
