Aguascalientes Museum

The Aguascalientes Museum occupies a neoclassical building with pink quarry columns and two interior courtyards featuring carved details and stone fountains.

The structure, built in 1903 by architect Refugio Reyes Rivas as a teaching school, transformed into an art museum during the city's fourth centenary in 1975.

The museum exhibits works from regional artists, including sculptures by Jesus F. Contreras and paintings by Saturnino Herran, Francisco Diaz de Leon, and Gabriel Fernandez Ledesma.

Located within the Instituto Cultural de Aguascalientes complex, the museum maintains regular exhibitions and provides guided tours throughout its exhibition spaces and gardens.

The building's Greek temple-inspired architecture incorporates local pink quarry stone, combining European design principles with Mexican construction materials.
