La Estacion Theme Park, Railway museum and former railway station in Aguascalientes City, Mexico
La Estacion Theme Park is a former railway station in Aguascalientes now operating as a museum with four exhibition halls, a locomotive monument, and dancing fountains spread across the historic railway grounds. The complex also includes a visitor center, a theater for presentations, and a library.
The site was established in 1910 as a major railway hub and housed extensive workshops and storage facilities for many years. In 2003 it was transformed into a cultural center, allowing visitors to explore its railway heritage.
The site displays railway artifacts and photographs that document the development of Mexican train transport and local industrial heritage. Visitors can sense how this location once functioned as a vital transportation hub connecting people and goods across the region.
The park is located on Avenida Manuel Gómez Morín and is easy to access, with restaurants on site and facilities distributed across the grounds. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes and allow time to explore the various indoor and outdoor areas at their own pace.
Only four rooms from the original railway installations retain their authentic structures today. These spaces have been carefully restored and feature reconstructed telegraph offices and administrative quarters that reflect the daily operations of the station.
