Gogorrón National Park, National park in San Luis Potosí, Mexico
Gogorrón National Park is a protected area in the Sierra Madre Oriental combining mountain terrain, forests, grasslands, and natural water sources. The land features diverse habitats ranging from dense pine forests to open meadows.
The Mexican government established this conservation area in 1936 and named it after a former estate located within its boundaries. The creation was part of Mexico's early efforts to protect natural lands.
The territory contains multiple plant species important to Mexican heritage, including Pinyon Pine, Montezuma Pine, Mexican Oak, and various native cacti.
The site is accessible from Federal Highway 57 between Querétaro and San Luis Potosí with a turn toward San Felipe. The best time to visit depends on local weather conditions, particularly during the rainy season.
The area supports notable wildlife populations, including white-tailed deer and various bird species such as wild ducks. These animal populations have adapted to the varying elevations and habitats throughout the park.
