Yaxuna, Archaeological site in Yaxcabá
Yaxuná is an ancient Maya city located in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico.
The city flourished during the Classic period of Mayan civilization.
Yaxuná's ruins include a large pyramid, several palaces, and a network of sacbeobs or white roads.
Visitors can explore the site which is less crowded than nearby Chichen Itza.
A 100-kilometer long sacbe links Yaxuná directly with the pre-Columbian site of Coba.
