North Richland Hills stands as the fourth largest municipality in Tarrant County, Texas, with a population of 69,917 residents recorded in 2020.

In 1953, the incorporation of North Richland Hills occurred after Clarence Jones divided his 268-acre dairy farm when annexation to Richland Hills failed.

The streets in the first section of North Richland Hills received names from local families, while the 1954 extension featured street names based on automobiles.

The NRH20 Water Park, Medical City North Hills, and the public library at 9015 Grand Avenue provide recreation and services to residents.
