Toyota Stadium, Multi-purpose stadium in Frisco, Texas, US.
Toyota Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Frisco, Texas. The facility has a U-shaped layout with a main playing field and additional practice areas used for soccer training.
The architectural firm HKS designed the complex, which opened on August 6, 2005, as Pizza Hut Park. The name changed to Toyota Stadium in 2013 after a new sponsor acquired the naming rights.
This facility houses the National Soccer Hall of Fame, the first professional sports hall of fame located inside an active stadium. Visitors can walk through the exhibition on game days and learn about the history of soccer in the United States.
The venue can hold up to 20,500 spectators and serves as the home ground for FC Dallas in Major League Soccer. The complex also hosts high school football games for schools in the Frisco Independent School District.
A permanent covered stage stands at the north end of the complex and allows the venue to host concerts and other entertainment events. This feature makes the site flexible and draws visitors even outside of the sports season.
