Marks’ Mills Battleground State Park, Civil War battlefield state park in Fordyce, Arkansas.
The park features interpretive exhibits and markers detailing the events of an 1864 Civil War battle at an elevation of 79 meters.
During the Red River Campaign in April 1864, Confederate forces defeated Union troops at Marks' Mills, causing General Steele to retreat toward Little Rock.
The battlefield, established as a state park in 1961, preserves an important segment of Arkansas military heritage through educational displays and historical exhibits.
Visitors access the park through Arkansas Highway 8, where they find walking paths, informational markers, and designated areas for outdoor activities.
The site contains remnants of the Military Road, which served as the primary escape route for Union forces during the battle sequence.
