Parkview Apartments, Historic apartment building in Pine Bluff, Arkansas

Parkview Apartments is a two-story residential building made of brick with 12 units located on West 13th Avenue in Pine Bluff. The U-shaped structure features a projecting cornice and crenellated parapet that define its exterior appearance.

Built around 1925, the twelve-unit Parkview Apartments was the work of O.C. Hauber, a businessman who drove much of Pine Bluff's growth and development in the early 20th century. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The building's name, Parkview, refers to its position at 300 West 13th Avenue, and its twelve units made it the state's largest apartment building by floor area when completed around 1925. The Classical Revival detailing, such as the projecting cornice and the crenellated parapet at the centre of the U, was chosen by O.C. Hauber, the Pine Bluff businessman behind the project.

The building is within walking distance of downtown Pine Bluff and easily accessible from other historic sites and local businesses. Visitors should know the property remains occupied, so it is best to view and photograph from the exterior while respecting residents' privacy.

When it was built, this was the largest apartment building in Arkansas based on total floor space. This scale made it a notable project for its time.
