Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium, Large stadium in Jackson, United States

Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium is a large sports facility in Jackson with a horseshoe-shaped layout and natural Bermuda grass field. The venue accommodates around 60,000 spectators in an outdoor setting and features a three-story press box with elevator access.

The facility opened in 1950 with an initial capacity of 21,000 seats and underwent multiple expansions over the decades. A major renovation in 1981 brought it to its current size.

The stadium is home to Jackson State University's football team and draws local families to regional high school tournaments throughout the season. These events bring the community together through shared passion for the sport.

The facility provides 4,000 parking spaces and wheelchair-accessible seating throughout the grounds. Arriving early helps ensure convenient parking, particularly during major events when attendance is high.

From 1973 to 1990, the stadium hosted the Egg Bowl rivalry games between the University of Mississippi and Mississippi State University. This annual matchup drew thousands of fans from both schools during those years.
