Roosevelt State Park encompasses 550 acres of natural terrain surrounding the 150-acre Shadow Lake at the western edge of Bienville National Forest.
The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks established Roosevelt State Park in 1935 through the Civilian Conservation Corps construction program.
The Livingston Performing Arts & Media Center within the park hosts 600 visitors for theatrical performances, musical events, and community gatherings.
The park provides numerous camping options, including primitive sites, water and electric hookups, group dormitories, and cabin accommodations for overnight stays.
The park features an 18-hole disc golf course, tennis courts, and a swimming pool situated at an elevation of 505 feet between Jackson and Meridian.
