Tswalu Kalahari Reserve

Located in the Northern Cape region, Tswalu Kalahari Reserve spans 111,000 hectares of protected wilderness with grasslands and red sand dunes.

Stephen Boler established the reserve by purchasing multiple farms, later transferring ownership to the Oppenheimer family who discontinued hunting practices in 1998.

The reserve maintains research programs supporting scientists and artists while operating educational initiatives focused on local wildlife and ecological preservation.

Guests receive a private safari vehicle with a guide and tracker, enabling wildlife observation of black rhinos, lions, pangolins, and meerkats.

The reserve contains specialized night tracking activities for nocturnal species including aardvarks, brown hyenas, and pangolins across the Kalahari terrain.
