Alma Park Zoo was a zoological facility in a tropical setting with around 200 animals from roughly 50 different species spread across landscaped gardens beneath rainforest canopies. The site was founded in 1969 and for decades remained the oldest active zoological facility in Queensland. It ceased operations in 2014, marking the end of a long history of animal exhibition in the region.
