The Plaza de toros Monumental features six entrance gates leading to tiered seating arrangements that encircle a central ring for bullfighting events.
The stadium opened its doors on November 18, 1972, replacing the former Plaza de Toros La Trinidad that operated in the same location since 1966.
The venue includes a chapel decorated with regional mosaics depicting the Virgin of Chiquinquirá, the Virgin of Guadalupe, and the Virgin of Hope.
The stadium provides parking facilities for 8,000 vehicles and maintains a maximum capacity of 15,000 spectators across its tiered seating sections.
In 2018, the municipality transformed this former bullfighting arena into a multi-purpose venue, renaming it Plaza para Todos to reflect its new functions.
