Plaza de toros Monumental de Maracaibo

The Plaza de toros Monumental de Maracaibo is a bullfighting arena featuring six entrance gates and tiered seating sections arranged around a central ring. The venue accommodates around 15,000 spectators and includes parking facilities on the grounds.

The site originally hosted the Plaza de Toros La Trinidad starting in 1966 before the current larger facility opened in 1972. This development marked the city's growth and the ongoing role of bullfighting in local traditions.

A small chapel inside the arena displays regional mosaics showing the Virgin of Chiquinquirá, the Virgin of Guadalupe, and the Virgin of Hope. These religious images reflect the deep spiritual traditions that remain central to the community.
