Lone Star Flight Museum, Aviation museum at Ellington International Airport, Houston, US

The Lone Star Flight Museum at Ellington Airport in Houston holds more than 24 historically significant aircraft and many flight artifacts on about 100,000 square feet, including its own ramp. Its exterior wall carries a large arch-framed emblem reading "LONE STAR FLIGHT MUSEUM" in gold and blue around wings, a shield and a star, set on vertical light brown ribs.

Following severe damage from Hurricane Ike in 2008, the museum relocated from Galveston to Houston. The new facility opened in 2017.

The Texas Aviation Hall of Fame, inside the museum, lists Texans inducted for contributions to aviation and spaceflight, among them Howard Hughes, astronaut Alan Bean, Senator Lloyd Bentsen, Azellia White and President George H. W. Bush. It holds memorabilia, photographs and documents, plus restored and sectioned engines.

The museum sits at Ellington Airport with its own ramp, so aircraft can taxi directly to the hangars. The site covers about 100,000 square feet. The Texas Aviation Hall of Fame is inside the same building, letting visitors combine both in one visit.

The museum's Douglas DC-3 was built in 1940 and flew seven years for American Airlines before passing to TransTexas Airways. When Continental CEO Gordon Bethune was inducted into the Texas Aviation Hall of Fame in 2004, Continental donated the aircraft to the museum, which flies it in Continental's paint scheme.
