Autauga County, Administrative division in central Alabama, US

The county extends across 604 square miles of land in the Gulf Coastal Plain region, featuring rolling hills and the Alabama River.

Established in 1818, the territory initially included present-day Elmore and Chilton counties before their separation in 1866 and 1868.

The county celebrates Farm City Week each November, connecting residents with agricultural traditions and local farming communities.

The Autauga County School System operates 14 public schools, serving approximately 9,000 students from kindergarten through high school.

Daniel Pratt established a cotton gin manufacturing facility in 1833, making it the first major industrial operation in Alabama.
