Fort De Soto Park, County park in Florida
Fort De Soto Park is a park operated by Pinellas County on five offshore keys, or islands: Madelaine Key, St. Jean Key, St. Christopher Key, Bonne Fortune Key and the main island, Mullet Key.
The fort was named after Spanish explorer Hernando de Soto, and its construction was completed in 1900.
The park is a gateway site for the Great Florida Birding Trail and has a dog park and beach.
The park includes a 1,136-acre wildlife refuge, two fishing piers, picnic and camping areas, and a ferry to Egmont Key State Park.
Fort De Soto Park has the only quadripara (four-barrel) rapid-fire gun remaining in America.
