Little Manatee River State Park

Little Manatee River State Park spans 2,433 acres of natural landscapes, featuring winding waterways, hardwood forests, and pine flatwoods along the river banks.

Native American tribes of the Uzita people established settlements near the river mouth, using the waterway for transportation and sustenance before European colonization.

The park functions as an outdoor classroom where visitors learn about Florida's ecosystems through interpretive programs and nature observation stations.

The park maintains 6.5 miles of hiking trails, equestrian paths, camping facilities, and launch points for kayaks and canoes throughout its grounds.

The park contains one of Florida's rare undisturbed stretches of river shoreline, supporting native species like bobcats, white-tailed deer, and American alligators.
