Church of the Mediator is located on Northeast Cholokka Boulevard in Micanopy and displays architectural features typical of Florida religious buildings from 1874. The structure includes a main sanctuary, characteristic windows, and a separate social hall called Ryan Hall positioned behind the primary structure.

The building was originally constructed as a Presbyterian church in 1874 before becoming an Episcopal church in 1966. This transition represented the revival of Anglican religious presence in the community following an earlier period of the faith there.

The name Church of the Mediator recalls an earlier Episcopal church of that name that stood in Micanopy from 1857 until the 1910s; its building elsewhere in town was torn down in the 1920s. The present congregation, active in the Episcopal Diocese of Florida, chose the name when the mission began on October 16, 1966.

The church stands on Northeast Cholokka Boulevard in Micanopy and is listed as stop number 6 on the town's walking tour, where older maps label it the Presbyterian Church.
