Church of the Mediator, Episcopal church in Micanopy, United States.
Church of the Mediator is located on Northeast Cholokka Boulevard in Micanopy and displays architectural features typical of Florida religious buildings from 1874. The structure includes a main sanctuary, characteristic windows, and a separate social hall called Ryan Hall positioned behind the primary structure.
The building was originally constructed as a Presbyterian church in 1874 before becoming an Episcopal church in 1966. This transition represented the revival of Anglican religious presence in the community following an earlier period of the faith there.
The church hosts regular concerts featuring Renaissance and Early music performances within its historical sanctuary space. Visitors experience these musical events in a setting with deep spiritual character.
Sunday services start at 11 AM and are preceded by musical preludes for a fuller worship experience. Following the service, a social gathering takes place in Ryan Hall behind the main building for visitors to connect.
The congregation currently uses a Viscount Cantorum Duo instrument for musical accompaniment during worship services. Fundraising efforts are underway to acquire a permanent organ and establish sustained musical programming.
