Lummus Park

Lummus Park is a large coastal park in Miami Beach that stretches along the Atlantic Ocean with wide sandy beaches, walkways, and green spaces facing the water. The grounds include volleyball courts, outdoor exercise stations, playgrounds for different ages, and a seafront promenade for pedestrians.

The park was established in 1985 and named after two brothers who played key roles in Miami's early development. This naming choice reflected recognition of their contributions to the city's growth and foundation.

The park serves as a gathering place where locals and visitors enjoy water sports, jogging, and beach activities throughout the year. The seafront promenade and sandy beach shape how people spend their leisure time in this part of the city.

The grounds are open to walk freely, with different areas ranging from the beach to grassy sections further back. Bring sun protection as the midday hours are intense, and note that the promenade can get quite crowded, especially on warm weekends.
