H. S. Williams House

Hiram Smith Williams, a Civil War veteran from the 40th Alabama Volunteer Regiment, built this house in 1880 after relocating from New Jersey through Alabama. The building reflects Florida's expansion and settlement during the early post-war period.

The second floor served as an early school space for the local community, reflecting how homes took on multiple roles in developing regions. This dual purpose shows how education and domestic life were intertwined in those times.
