Perkins Opera House

The Perkins Opera House is a late 19th-century building with three ground-floor commercial spaces and a theater occupying the second floor. The structure sits at the intersection of Washington Street and Jefferson Street, combining street-level shops with the performance space above.

The building was constructed in 1890 under the direction of architect W. R. Gunn from Chattanooga and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This recognition came in 1972 and confirmed its importance as a historical landmark for the area.
