Locust Grove Institute

Locust Grove Institute is a Classical Revival building designed by architect James W. Golucke in 1904. The structure displays characteristic architectural features of that style with carefully crafted facades and design details.

The institute was founded in 1894 as a collaborative effort between a Baptist church and a university. The school quickly grew to become an important educational center in the region.

This was a place where students could pursue studies in music, art, and practical skills alongside traditional academic subjects. The school served young people seeking a well-rounded education with Christian values.

The building now serves as Locust Grove's City Hall and can be viewed from the outside. It sits in the downtown area and is easy to reach on foot.
