Old Market

The Old Market is a market hall in Louisville featuring a four-sided structure topped with a pyramid-shaped roof and bell-housing steeple. Inside, four heavy wooden support timbers hold up the structure and were reinforced during renovations that added a new roof and cement floor in the 1950s.

The building rose between 1795 and 1798 while Louisville served as Georgia's capital. It earned National Register of Historic Places recognition in 1978, securing its place in regional history.
