Pooler

Pooler is a city northwest of Savannah that sits along Interstates 95 and 16. The area combines residential neighborhoods with commercial zones, featuring both established and newer developments.

Pooler began as Pooler's Station, named after railroad worker Robert William Pooler who labored in the area. The settlement served as the final railroad stop before reaching Savannah and shaped the region's early growth.

The National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force displays exhibits focused on World War II aviation and military operations. The museum allows visitors to connect with stories of pilots and missions from that era.

Pooler is accessible via Interstate 95, which connects south to Jacksonville and north to South Carolina. A car is the best way to move around and explore different areas of the city.

Gulfstream Aerospace and JCB operate major facilities here, establishing Pooler as a significant hub for private aircraft and heavy equipment manufacturing. These large employers have shaped the local economy and workforce.
