Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, Cable-stayed bridge in Charleston, United States.

The bridge stretches 2.7 miles across the Cooper River with two diamond-shaped towers rising 575 feet above the water surface.

The structure replaced the Grace Memorial Bridge and Pearman Bridge in 2005, becoming the longest cable-stayed bridge in North America at that time.

The Cooper River Bridge Run attracts 50,000 participants annually, transforming the bridge into a gathering point for athletes and spectators.

Eight traffic lanes and a dedicated bicycle-pedestrian path connect downtown Charleston to Mount Pleasant, accommodating modern transportation needs.

Two one-acre rock islands surround the bridge towers, designed to protect the structure by grounding ships before potential collisions.
