Middleton-Pinckney House, Neoclassical residence in Charleston, United States

The Middleton-Pinckney House stands as a three-story stuccoed building with a raised basement at 14 George Street in the Ansonborough neighborhood of Charleston.

Frances Motte Middleton initiated the construction in 1796, completing the residence in 1797 upon her marriage to Major General Thomas Pinckney.

The house reflects the architectural preferences of Charleston's upper class during the Federal period through its neoclassical design and proportions.

The building currently serves as the headquarters for the Spoleto Festival USA, following a substantial rehabilitation project funded by the City of Charleston.

A water tower stood next to the building during its period as the Water Works Company headquarters, with the rear property functioning as a public swimming pool.

Architectural style: Neoclassical architecture
