San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge, Bridge in San Francisco Bay Area

The San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge is a complex of bridges spanning San Francisco Bay in California.

Opened on November 12, 1936, it has one of the longest spans in the United States.

The bridge has been featured in many films and is an iconic symbol of San Francisco and California.

It carries approximately 260,000 vehicles per day on its two decks.

It's actually made up of two bridge sections connected by a tunnel through Yerba Buena Island.
