Walnut Creek

Walnut Creek is a suburban town in Contra Costa County, California, nestled among rolling hills and valleys east of San Francisco Bay. Major highways and transit lines cross through the neighborhoods, while parks and commercial zones shape the layout.

European settlers arrived in the mid-1800s and turned the area into farmland dotted with orchards and grazing pastures. Postwar expansion transformed open fields into residential neighborhoods as transit routes encouraged commuters to settle here.
